Meet Honey - The other half of the story!

Honey is a writer, researcher and founder of Wilde Earth Journeys, where she explores the connections between nature, wellbeing and the relationships we build with the world around us. Lifelong fascinated by horses, she is now documenting a year-long journey with her young pony, Apollo ("Bob"), discovering what happens when partnership begins with curiosity instead of control. Through stories, science and quiet reflection, she hopes to inspire a more thoughtful approach to horsemanship.

Meet Apollo

Apollo— AKA Bob—is a young Dales cross gelding with an inquisitive mind and a quiet way of asking thoughtful questions.

Originally bought with dreams of trail riding, ranch work and adventures under saddle, our plans changed when pregnancy meant I had to step away from riding. What began as a pause became an opportunity. Rather than seeing it as time lost, we chose to spend a year building our partnership from the ground up.

Apollo has become my greatest teacher. His curiosity, honesty and willingness to explore have challenged me to slow down, pay closer attention and rethink what it truly means to be a steward. Together we're discovering that meaningful relationships aren't built through bigger goals or better techniques, but through countless small moments of trust, understanding and shared curiosity.

His greatest gift isn't what he can do—it's the way his curiosity encourages me to become more curious too.
